Going Back to the Island
Inter-island migration breakdown for the years 2000 to 2010

The path thickness in this circular migration plot represents the number of people migrating between islands over the past decade. The color of the line indicates which island has more emigration.

In the example to the right, there are more people leaving from Abaco to Other Islands than there are people arriving to Abaco from Other Islands.

Similarly, there are more people arriving to Abaco from Grand Bahama than there are people leaving from Abaco to Grand Bahama.

The bars in this chart show the number of people migrating by age group to and from each island.

The bars on the left show how many people left the island in the last decade and the bars on the right show how many people have moved to the island in the last decade.

In the example for Eleuthera, to the right, more people have left than arrived, and those that have left are younger in general.
